Pet Contest

Pet Photo Contest Rules 2024 Hosted by Burbank Pride Inc.

ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to the public. No purchase is necessary. Must be 18 years or older to enter. Only one entry per pet (we know some households have more than one, we don't discriminate.) They must be submitted separately for voting purposes. Burbank Pride Inc. reserves the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant. Board and committee members of Burbank Pride Inc. and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. All species of pets are welcome to participate.

CONTEST PERIOD -IT"S BEEN EXTEDED
The Contest Submission Period begins on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 12 p.m. PST and ends at 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, September 22, 2024. All entries ("Submissions") must be received by 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, September 22, 2024. All pets that were submitted by Saturday, September 14, 2024, will receive a special surprise on the day of the event!

Public voting to determine the winner will be held on Burbank Pride Inc.'s website. Voting will be open from 12 p.m. PST on Tuesday, September 24 through 2:00 p.m. PST on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Burbank Pride Inc. reserves the right to extend or shorten the contest at its sole discretion. The submission with the most votes at 2:00 p.m. will win 1st prize, then 2nd place as well. Winners will be announced on Saturday, September 28, 2024, after our Pride Talks around 4 PM on Burbank Pride’s in person. Then we will all announce it fully by Monday Sept 30, 2024 on social media, our website, and will notify by email.

HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Contest: Submit your pet photo by emailing it to PetContest@burbankpride.org. Submit a photo of your pet showing their "Pride" by displaying rainbow colors, LGBTQIA+ accessories, or in a creative scene that represents Pride. When submitting your photo, please include the following information:

• Last Name

• Pet's Name

• Pet's Nicknames

• Email

• Phone Number

• Your Pet's Favorite Activity

• Your Pet's Favorite Food/Treat

• Your Pet's Dislikes

• Explain Your Pet's Pride in the Photo

 

REMEMBER THE PHOTO IS VOTED ON HOW YOUR PET THEY SHOW THEIR PRIDE!

Submissions must NOT contain any people or other humans; other pets are allowed. If any person is present in the photo, it will be cropped if possible or excluded from the contest. If your type of pet requires being held please make sure no visible faces or any logos or trademark items in the photograph. Photos must be original content from the entrant. Burbank Pride Inc. is not responsible for copyright infringement.

ENTRY LIMIT (UPDATED):

Multiple pets are allowed, but each must be submitted separately.

CONTENT GUIDELINES

Entries must be family-friendly and respectful of all communities.

Any offensive content will result in disqualification.

PHOTO RELEASE
By submitting a photo, entrants agree that Burbank Pride Inc. may use the photo for publicity on its website and any marketing materials promoting this campaign. By participating, entrants confirm that they have taken the photo submitted and have not copied it from anyone else.

Entrants are responsible for all content they upload, and content must not contain threatening, violent, pornographic, or any other inappropriate material. Burbank Pride Inc. reserves the right to delete any photographs that do not comply with these Contest Rules.

WINNER SELECTION
Public voting to determine the winner will be held on Burbank Pride Inc.'s website. Votes will be accepted from 10 a.m. PST on Tuesday, September 24 through 2:00 p.m. PST on Saturday, September 28. You may only vote for one photo per IP address. The submission with the most votes at 2:00 p.m. will win the prize. The winner will be announced at Burbank Pride's Family Pride in the Park event on Saturday, September 28, 2024, and will also be notified by email.

Each entrant is responsible for monitoring their email for prize notification and any other communications related to this Contest. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by Burbank Pride Inc. within ten days or does not have a valid email to receive the prize, the potential prize winner will forfeit the prize.

PRIZE
The winner, as voted on by the public, will receive a prize that will be announced at Burbank Pride's Family Pride in the Park event on September 28, 2024. 1st Place: $50 gift card, toys, and treats. 2nd Place: $25 gift card, toys, and treats. Runner-ups: Candles and more surprises!

ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS
Burbank Pride Inc., along with its parent, affiliate, and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest. This includes, but is not limited to, errors in any printing or posting of these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Contest is unlawful and may be subject to legal action by Burbank Pride Inc. Burbank Pride Inc. reserves the right to terminate, suspend, or amend the Contest without notice and for any reason, including if it determines that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned or if a virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failure, or other cause beyond its control corrupts the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper play of the Contest. If tampering or unauthorized intervention is detected, Burbank Pride Inc. reserves the right to void suspect entries. Burbank Pride Inc., along with its affiliates, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure, or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment, or software, the inability to access any website or online service, or any other error, human or otherwise.

INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to indemnify, release, and hold harmless Burbank Pride Inc., along with its parent, affiliate, and subsidiary companies, administrators, advertising and promotional agencies, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents from any liability, damages, losses, or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from that entrant’s participation in the Contest and the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize that may be won. Burbank Pride Inc. does not make any warranties, express or implied, as to the condition, fitness, or merchantability of the prize. Burbank Pride Inc. and its affiliates, advertising, and promotional agencies, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from access to or downloading information or materials connected with the Contest.

PUBLICITY
By participating, each entrant grants Burbank Pride Inc. permission to use their photo, name, likeness, or comments for publicity purposes without payment, except where prohibited by law.
